Hello
My name is Milika Meli-Lisiate, and I have a great desire to work for Uintah Forever Living as a service provider because I am passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I feel a strong connection to the mission of supporting individuals in living with dignity, purpose, and independence. I value relationships, community, and consistency, and I believe I bring warmth, dedication, and understanding to those I serve. For me, this isn’t just work, it’s about contributing to something lasting and meaningful.
Here's a little background about myself. I’m a self-taught, driven person with a deep passion for people and service, something that was instilled in me from a very young age. My greatest inspiration has always been my mother, a dedicated nurse in Tonga who traveled from village to village helping young mothers bring their babies into the world. Watching her serve others so selflessly taught me the power of compassion and gave me a model of what it truly means to care. As the oldest of my siblings, I naturally stepped into the role of caretaker. Looking after my younger sisters and brother shaped my understanding of long-suffering, patience, and what it means to put others before myself. That foundation of service carried with me throughout my life. For many years, I was a single mother raising three children on my own. I experienced firsthand the hardships of providing for a family, and it taught me strength, resourcefulness, and perseverance. Later in life, I was blessed to marry my husband, Ivan, who had been a widower for twelve years. Together, we built a blended family grounded in love, respect, and shared purpose. Family means everything to me. Alongside caring for my children and husband, I’ve also had the privilege of helping my parents return to their homeland of Tonga. Giving back is not just something I believe in—it’s a way of life. One of the things my family and I love to do for fun is prepare crates filled with clothing, food, and household goods to send to families in need back in Tonga. Whether we’re related to them or not doesn’t matter—what matters is the opportunity to serve and uplift someone else. I bring these life experiences with me into every part of my leadership. I’m endlessly curious, always eager to learn, and deeply committed to the idea that every person has value and potential. My journey has been one of faith, resilience, and service, and I lead with purpose, heart, and a firm belief in the power of community.
